How to Donate Robux Without Roblox Plus
You do not need Roblox Plus to donate Robux. Any Roblox account with enough Robux can support a friend or creator by buying one of their game passes. You do not need a subscription, item trading, or access to PLS DONATE.
This guide explains the difference between trading and donating, what changed when Roblox Plus replaced Roblox Premium, and how to donate safely with donoblox.
Can you donate Robux without Roblox Plus?
Yes. Roblox Plus is a paid subscription, but buying a game pass is a standard Roblox purchase available without it.
The confusion usually comes from treating every transfer of value as a trade. They are different Roblox systems:
| Action | Roblox Plus required? |
|---|---|
| Buy a creator's game pass | No |
| Donate through donoblox | No |
| Trade eligible avatar items | Yes |
| Use subscription-only benefits | Yes |
A Robux donation is not an item trade. The donor buys a game pass and its creator receives the sale proceeds through Roblox.
Roblox Plus vs Premium: what changed?
Roblox Plus is the current name for the subscription previously called Roblox Premium. Older guides and search results may still say "donate Robux without Premium," but they are asking the same basic question: is a paid Roblox membership required?
For game-pass donations, the answer remains no. You can buy a creator's pass without Plus.
The move to Roblox Plus also disrupted familiar booth-based donation experiences, including PLS DONATE. If that is why you are looking for another way to donate, read why PLS DONATE is not working and how to donate now.
How to send Robux without Plus using game passes
Roblox does not provide a universal "send Robux" button for direct person-to-person transfers. To send Robux without Plus, donation platforms use a game-pass purchase instead:
- The recipient creates a game pass and puts it on sale.
- The donor buys that pass using Robux already in their account.
- Roblox processes the sale and places the proceeds in the recipient's account.
- donoblox verifies the purchase and adds it to the live donation feed.
Roblox's marketplace fee is normally deducted from game-pass sales, and proceeds can remain pending before the creator can spend them. These are Roblox rules and apply whether the purchase starts through donoblox or another donation experience.
What you need before donating
To give Robux to a friend or creator without Plus, you need:
- A valid Roblox account
- Enough Robux to buy the selected game pass
- A recipient who has a game pass listed for sale
You do not need Roblox Plus, a tradable limited item, a group, or a downloaded app.

Why donate through donoblox?
Available to every Roblox account
donoblox uses game-pass purchases, so a paid Roblox subscription is not part of the donation flow.
Safer sign-in with Roblox OAuth
The login happens through Roblox's authorization system. donoblox never asks for your Roblox password.
Verified donation tracking
Every completed donation is checked against Roblox before it appears as verified in the live feed.
Social features for creators and fans
Live chat, leaderboards, instant notifications, Discord support, and Streamlabs integration make donations visible to the creator's community.
No booth game required
You can donate from a browser without joining PLS DONATE, claiming a stand, or waiting for a Roblox server.
Can you send Robux directly to a friend?
Not through donoblox. The platform does not transfer Robux between account balances. You support a friend by buying their game pass, and Roblox handles the purchase and sale proceeds.
This distinction matters for safety: donoblox never takes your Roblox password or asks you to hand over account access to move Robux.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need Roblox Plus to donate Robux?
No. You can donate by purchasing a creator's game pass with any Roblox account that has enough Robux.
Do I need Roblox Premium to donate Robux?
No. Premium was the former name of the subscription now called Roblox Plus. Neither Premium nor Plus is required for a game-pass donation.
Does the person receiving Robux need Roblox Plus?
No. A creator can receive the proceeds of a game-pass sale without a Plus subscription, subject to Roblox's current marketplace rules.
Can I give Robux to a friend without trading?
Yes. Buy a game pass created by your friend. That is a purchase, not a limited-item trade, so Roblox Plus is not required.
Can I donate Robux from a gift card?
Yes. Once a gift card has been redeemed and the Robux is in your Roblox balance, you can use it to buy a creator's game pass.
Does the creator receive the full game-pass price?
Usually not. Roblox applies its marketplace fee to game-pass sales, and the remaining Robux may be pending before it becomes available. Check Roblox's current terms for the exact amount and timing.
Is donoblox free to use?
Yes. Signing up and using donoblox is free. You only spend the Robux price of the game pass you choose to buy.
Donate Robux without a subscription
Roblox Plus is not required to support a friend or creator. If you have a Roblox account and enough Robux for their game pass, you can donate in a few clicks.
